FOUND THIS IN AN OLD NOTEBOOK FROM SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND I DON'T REMEMBER
EXACTLY WHAT IT'S ABOUT....(The
image is at the bottom of this page.)
I found it at the beginning of a notebook which contains the working plans/ideas/theories
and the like for two installations, one was a large scale "industrial
noise/soundscape" piece and the other was a small, intimate video installation
in which I argued with myself about not being able to produce a small,
intimate video installation. There are some other odds and sods in there
as well but nothing appears relevant to this diagram.
I seem
to remember having a clear and definite theory that was linked to this
diagram, but it's gone from my memory.
I am quite sure that I was at the point of disappearing up my own behind
when I came up with this, however there is an emotion attached to this
piece (does that make sense?). When I look at it, I am severely bugged
by this nagging feeling that I've forgotten something important.
I'm sure, also, that it was quite a simple theory..
I would
be grateful if somebody(ies) would give me their interpretations/ideas/thoughts
as to what it was I was trying to get across, or what the diagram says
to them (if anything).
THIS IS NOT A PROJECT as such, as yet, BUT, I'm looking for a 'trigger'
', something to get me thinking again and I WOULD BE MOST GRATEFUL FOR
ANY HELP/INPUT GIVEN
