Portrait
of Secret Fluxus
Two performers situate themselves at opposite ends of the audience.
Third performer, standing before audience, instructs that each audience
member should whisper into the next member's ear the word the last member
had whispered into hers or his, and that the audience member who has words
whispered into his/her ears simultaneously should then leave the room.
The two performers whisper words that sound very similar but have different
meanings (i.e., "secret" and "secrete").
When the central audience member leaves the room, third performer follows
her/him out to find out what he/she heard in each ear.
That is revealed to no one else.
